Size

Naringa™ Westringia is a fast-establishing Australian native bred specifically for tidy, dense hedging, with fine grey-green evergreen foliage and masses of mauve flowers from spring through autumn.

Naturally neat and requiring less pruning than many traditional Westringia's. Naringa™ can be maintained at around 1 m high × 0.6 m wide as a clipped hedge, or allowed to develop into a larger natural shrub.

Hardy, drought-tolerant and well suited to Brisbane and South-East Queensland conditions, it is ideal for hedging, screening, borders and specimen planting.

Plant Guide

What to use me for: fast-establishing, tidy and compact hedges, driveway borders, coastal gardens, poolside plantings, low informal hedges, native landscapes, salt & wind-exposed sites.

I grow to: 2m high × 1.5m wide.

Features: tfast-establishing, tidy hedge, long flowering season, extremely tolerant of heat, salt, wind, frost and tough coastal conditions, prunes beautifully into shape.

Plant Care

Where to place me: Full sun to Part shade.
How far to space me: 0.5–1m centres for hedging
1.5-2m for natural mass & native gardens.

Soil Conditions: Free-draining soils, performs well in sandy coastal soils, loam, and improved garden beds.

Extra-Care: Light trim 1–2× annually, avoid heavy wet clay, excellent drought tolerance once established, thrives with minimal care.
