Plant Care
Plant Care
Where to place me: Full sun to part shade with good airflow. I’m excellent near the coast and in warm, humid suburbs.
How far to space me: For a tight hedge plant 3–5 per metre (about 20–35 cm apart). For borders, 40–60 cm centres.
Soil Conditions: Free-draining soil (sandy or loam). Slightly acidic–neutral is best. Avoid waterlogging.
Extra-Care: Water well until established; then I’m drought-tolerant. Lightly shear after flowering to keep me tidy. Feed in spring with a slow-release fertiliser and mulch to keep roots cool.
