Plant Guide
Plant Guide
What to use me for: I'm a versatile evergreen hedging and screening plant. My form is dense and bushy and I am suitable for; screening or hedging, small gardens, coastal regions, gardens or large pots.
I grow to: I'll reach up to 4 metres tall and 2 metres wide, providing a dense and compact design. Perfect for screen or hedge and small garden spaces to enjoy scented flower.
Features: I produce an attractive glossy dark-green leaf with lime green flushes in new growth and heavily scented white flower in Spring to Summer. Native flora and fauna love me.
Plant Care
Plant Care
Where to place me: Full sun or part shade is ideal for me, I can thrive in a range of environments but like a sunny position for prolific and prolonged flowering.
How far to space me: For tight hedging, plant me every 1-metre to ensure a cohesive and uniform look.
Soil Conditions: I can tolerate most soil types if planted in well-drained soil. I don't like constantly wet feet, so be sure to use a thick layer of chunky mulch. Water me well until I'm established to help me grow strong and healthy.
Extra-Care: I have low-water needs once established. I like a long soak during extended heat periods. I like to be pruned and shaped for a dense and compact form. Prune twice yearly for a tidy hedge, three times for a tight hedge. Prune at the end of flowering for prolific flowering the following Spring. I prefer a slow release fertiliser annually as per manufacturers instructions.
