Plant Care
Plant Care
Where to place me: Full sun to part shade with airflow; protect from harsh reflected heat; good in Brisbane’s humidity.
How far to space me: Tight hedge/screen: 1.2–1.5 m centres. Softer screen: 1.8–2.2 m. Avenue of trees: 3-6 m depending on style.
Soil Conditions: Free-draining, organic-rich, slightly acidic preferred. Avoid waterlogging; mound if heavy. Mulch, keeping trunk clear. Avoid crowded underplanting.
Extra-Care: Regular water to establish; then moderate. Light tip prune after flowering to hold shape. Spring feed with slow-release fertiliser for acid-loving evergreens.
