Plant Guide
Plant Guide
What to use me for: Small feature tree, courtyard specimen, low avenue, multi-stem showpiece.
I grow to: 3–4m high × 3–4m wide.
Features: pure white crepe blooms, attractive bark, compact size.
Plant Care
Plant Care
Where to place me: Full sun.
How far to space me: 2.5-3m centres.
Soil Conditions: Free-draining, benefits from spring feed.
Extra-Care: Deciduous. Flowers on new season wood, so winter prune lightly to shape and encourage next-season flowering—avoid heavy lopping as this creates weak multiple shoots and reduces canopy quality.
Summer maintenance: remove spent flower clusters after the first flowering flush (light “dead-heading”) to promote another round of blooms in late summer, sometimes even a third flush in warm climates. Avoid cutting back hard—just shorten spent flowering tips to a healthy node.
