Pot Size

This striking silver-foliage succulent showcases thick velvety leaves that provide strong color contrast and architectural interest in modern landscapes.

Incredibly drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, the Silver Spoons thrives in Brisbane's full sun to part shade conditions, making it ideal for outdoor garden beds, poolsides, feature planting, pots, and succulent gardens.

Origin: Madagascar
Attracts: Visual contrast, architectural interest

Plant Guide

What to use me for: Outdoor garden beds for colour contrast, modern designer landscapes, underplanting for feature trees (including crepe myrtle and magnolia), poolsides, driveways, retaining wall gardens, rooftop gardens, mixed groundcover plantings, feature pots in sunny positions.

I grow to:
0.4–0.6m high × 0.3–0.5m wide.

Features: Soft silver-grey foliage, velvety leaf texture, upright sculptural form, excellent contrast against green groundcovers, drought tolerant, low maintenance, ideal for mass planting in contemporary gardens.

Plant Care

Where to place me: Full sun to Part shade, performs best outdoors in bright light, tolerates reflected heat and warm coastal conditions.

How far to space me: 0.4–0.6m centres when mass planted. Single specimen in pots or grouped with other succulents and groundcovers.

Soil Conditions: Free-draining soil, sandy or gravelly soils ideal, avoid heavy, waterlogged clay.

Extra-Care: Allow soil to dry between watering, minimal watering once established, avoid frost, trim damaged leaves, no regular pruning needed.
