Tough, coastal-tolerant evergreen with glossy foliage and fragrant white star flowers, followed by decorative red fruit.

Great for low hedges, borders and pots; superb heat and drought tolerance. (Note: has short spines; site away from play areas.)

What to use me for: low formal hedge, border, coastal feature pot.

I grow to: about 0.6–1.0m tall × 1.0–1.5m wide.

Features: fragrant white flowers, glossy foliage, red fruit, excellent coastal/heat/drought tolerance.

Plant Care

Where to place me: Full sun to part sun; thrives in heat.

How far to space me: 0.5m centres for a tight hedge/border.

Soil Conditions: Free-draining (sandy/loamy ideal); avoid waterlogging.

Extra-Care: very low water once established; light trim after flowering; spring slow-release feed.
