An iconic coastal evergreen with rugged character, bird-attracting candle flowers and excellent tolerance of wind, salt and sandy soils. Ideal as a statement screen, street/driveway tree, or feature in SE QLD and Brisbane’s coastal and urban gardens.
Origin: Eastern Australia (coastal)

Please note: As living plants, each tree is unique in size and maturity based on how long it's been established in its pot, our 45L trees vary in establishment: 45L Available:
- Batch A: $295 - Well-established specimens with extended growing time in pot, offering fuller growth and immediate impact.
- Batch B: $245 - Fresh stock. Recently potted, healthy trees at great value, ready to grow and perfect for the patient gardener.
Both are quality trees - the price reflects time spent establishing in the nursery

What to use me for: Statement screening, boundary/windbreak, avenue/street tree, coastal feature.
I grow to: Typically 8–12 m tall × 4–6 m wide (can be kept smaller with pruning).
Features: Rugged bark and limbs; pale yellow flowers; tough in sand, wind and sea spray; excellent wildlife value.

Where to place me: Full sun with airflow; suits exposed coastal/windy sites, once established.
How far to space me: Screen/avenue: 3–5 m centres (closer = denser wall).
Soil Conditions: Thrives in free-draining sandy/loamy soils; dislikes waterlogging/heavy clay. Mound if needed. Low phosphorus tolerance—use native-safe fertiliser.
Extra-Care: Low water, once established. Light formative prune when young; minimal pruning later. Mulch; keep trunk clear.
